Filing Expert Required

We are looking for a Foreign Filing Specialist to manage our client's foreign filing docket; if you have the necessary experience and requirements...or you know someone who would be perfect for this position...let's chat! Email Ashley at aryall@johnleonard.com and we can get the ball rolling.

Responsibilities Include:

· Request client instructions for filing PCT international and direct national applications and prepare cost estimates for filing such applications
· Provide customized cost estimates at the request of legal staff and/or clients
· File PCT international applications
· Prepare and forward 92bis letters to the International Bureau of WIPO
· File Responses to Invitations to Correct Defects (includes assisting in preparing formal drawings and requesting power of attorney forms and any other necessary paperwork from clients)
· File Responses to Invitations to Furnish Sequence Listings
· File Responses to Invitations to Pay Prescribed Fees
· Report filing and publications of PCT international applications
· Request client instructions for filing Chapter II Demands
· Request client instructions for filing PCT international applications in the national/regional phase (27 and 29 months from priority date) and prepare cost estimates for filing such applications
· Prepare and forward requests for entry into the national/regional phase to foreign associates
· Transmit necessary formalities paperwork to clients, issue reminders to client when necessary, and forward executed paperwork to associates

Skill & Ability Requirements:
· Ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel
· Able to work independently with little guidance
· Possess a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy
· Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
· Ability to communicate effectively on paper, on the phone, and in person
· Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and .pdf software
· Requires two to three years of previous foreign filing experience
· College degree required
