One of the most important articles in Pakistani constitution is Article 6. It has been discussed again and again many times over the media and in the courts of law. According to this article any person who abrogates or conspires against the constitution is subjected of High Treason. The person who does that is subjected to death sentence. However, the sad part is that no person has even been punished under this Article of the constitution in the history of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

| [4A][(1) | Any person who abrogates or subverts or suspends or holds in abeyance, or attempts or conspires to abrogate or subvert or suspend or hold in abeyance, the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by any other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason.] |
| (2) | Any person aiding or abetting [4B][or collaborating] the acts mentioned in clause (1) shall likewise be guilty of high treason. |
