We are working with an executive who has asked us to recruit
“outstanding” systems engineers. This is a global product company which
owns their marketplace.
• Highly skilled and promising systems engineer in "early/mid" career.
• Expertise in C.
• Strong understanding of concurrent (multi-threaded) programming and its issues.
• Strong understanding of replication, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Strong understanding of performance issues and analysis as it applies to Java, Unix, CPU, Memory, I/O, Concurrent programming and Network performance.
• Good understanding of Unix (AIX preferred) systems level programming.
• Experience with object systems and file systems preferred.
• Ability to work alone and learn complex programming problems.
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and handle a true production system, to communicate clearly, patiently and with precise attention to detail to both technical support staff and non-technical corporate executives (VPs, etc.).
• Ability to track down and verify solutions to problems outside their area of expertise with little or no guidance.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Experience preferred: 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.
